Meade #505 connector cable set compatible cable allows you to update and
upgrade your Meade ETX telescopes with Meade 497 Autostar. If you like
the GOTO ability of the Meade ETX- Meade Autostar Observation System,
you will love the ETX-Autostar PC or PDA Observation System. Instead of
using keys on the Autostar to point the telescope, you can use the PC's
mouse.
Meade #505 connector cable set compatible cable can be use with computer
with a serial port.
Meade USB to RS232 Adapter Cable is required for computers with only
the USB port. The Meade USB to RS232 Adapter cable converts the USB port
to a RS232 serial port. Meade USB to RS232 Adapter cable must be use with
the Meade 505 connector cable set and cannot function by itself for update,
upgrade or control purposes.
The Autostar/PDA cable allow you to use the stylus to control the Meade
ETX telescope from your Palm OS PDA.

from a graphic screen of you PC or PDA you can point the cursor to a star,
